BEFORE

The feeling before the lights go down

The most electric moment in a theatre happens before anything has happened. What if we made that the headline act?

THE THOUGHT

Before is a performance with no advertised start time. Your ticket tells you only when to arrive. From the moment you approach the building, the collective anticipation of the audience begins composing the work.

HOW IT FEELSTHREE MOVEMENTS
01

Each arrival adds a pulse to the facade. The faster the room fills, the warmer and more restless the building becomes.

02

Inside, there is no lobby music. You hear fragments submitted anonymously by tonight’s audience: a hope, a dread, something they almost didn’t say.

03

When everyone is seated, the performers remain invisible. The room takes one shared breath. The lights go down—and that is the final scene.

WHAT REMAINS

Every edition creates a unique three-minute recording made entirely from that audience’s waiting. It is delivered the next morning: not documentation of a show, but proof that they made one together.

THE AUDIENCE WAS NEVER WAITING. THEY WERE THE EVENT.
